Indiana Breweries

Elm Street Brewing Company: In the middle of basically nowhere (Muncie, IN), northeast of Indianapolis, you will find one of the most unique breweries in the Midwest. Elm Street is about as nondescript and charming as they come. I actually drove past it before I realized my mistake. It’s a converted something, and has developed into a place frequented mostly by locals, but perfectly welcoming to outsiders. The atmosphere is too hard to describe, so I won’t try, but it is definitely kid friendly, and they’ve got a nice food menu. I recall getting the chicken fingers, but there were a lot of options. There is a solid selection of IPAs, but clearly, they rotate frequently. I had The Cowboy Gets High… and the Citranot. I preferred the former, but both were excellent. (Updated 9.2026)
