West Sixth Brewing: This Lexington flagship microbrewery is one of the classics of the home of the Wildcats. I have been several times and always leave happy. The West Sixth IPA is great and can be found in several restaurants throughout the state. There’s a restaurant attached, Smithtown Seafood, that is pretty good and will bring your order to the bar. Kids are welcome, but I don’t recall seeing many there at any of my visits. Someone tried to order a Coors Light when I was there recently, which they do not carry, but there are some non-beer options. If I was looking to get into the brewery scene in Lexington, this is where I’d start (as of 10.26).
