NOLA Brewing: Opening in 2008, this is one of our favorite and most frequented breweries in New Orleans. It’s larger than expected space with two stories, an outdoor balcony, and frequently offers live music. It is very kid friendly, including an area with several arcade games. It took them several iterations to figure out the food situation, but they now have a great pizza by the slice service that is really good. My favorite beer is their flagship IPA, the Hopitoulas, but they’ve got another IPA, the Hoppy Infringement, that I like a lot. If you’re in the Big Easy, and looking to experience the local beer seen, this stop should be on your list. (Updated 10.2026)
